About the DS3800HLXA
The DS3800HLXA printed circuit board is a high-speed data link board designed by General Electric to be a part of the company’s Mark IV Speedtronic system. This is one of several HLXA board components available here at AX Control; please be sure to order the correct configuration for your needs. The MKIV was one of the most popular Speedtronic systems ever to be sold by General Electric; it is designed as a gas and steam turbine control system.
The DS3800HLXA board is rectangular in shape. The board is fitted with a long right-angled backplane connector along its rear short edge. This connector allows the board to communicate with other components within the rack system once it has been installed. Extractor clips are included. These are inserted into the two factory-drilled holes in the board’s front edge (there are two additional holes in the rear edge.) Extractors give installers a place to hold onto the board during insertion as well as a pivot point to pull the circuit card out of the rack system during extraction.
The front edge of the DS3800HLXA includes a single toggle switch. There are six fiber optic connectors set on this edge at a 45-degree angle. The edge also includes one red LED indicator; this is marked “run.” Other board components include integrated circuits, capacitors, resistors, diodes, transistors, spare PTH, transistors, and tp test points.
If more information is needed regarding this board or the Mark IV system in general, please refer to original documentation from General Electric like manuals or user guides.
