About the DS3800HMAA
The DS3800HMAA is a Media Access Board for a GE Mark IV Speedtronic system. The Mark IV was one of the most successful versions of the highly successful Speedtronic system released in many iterations by General Electric for the control of industrial gas and steam turbines.
The DS3800HMAA is a rectangular board designed with four factory-drilled holes, each located at a corner of the board. The board is marked along each board edge with markings to allow for easier alignment during installation.
Board components on the DS3800HMAA include right-angled connectors along the rear edge. This includes two right-angled pin connectors as well as stab-on connectors. Within the body of the board, there are multiple LED indicators; these are scattered across the board and are not located together. Other board components include integrated circuits, transistors, jumper switches, along with resistors, capacitors, and diodes.
Along the leading edge of the DS3800HMAA, there is a single large horizontal metal component mounted to the board surface. Within this component, the board has four variable switches mounted. These are wired to the surface of the board along the component’s rear edge.
Additional information regarding this board component as well as specific information regarding the Mark IV system can be sourced from data sheets and user guides that were originally provided by General Electric.
