Product Description

The DS3800HMPJ is a microprocessor board that fits into the GE Mark IV turbine control system.  The Mark IV system is used to interface with and control gas and steam turbine equipment.  It is typically designed with an operator control panel and CRT displays   The Mark IV is a TMR (triple modular redundant) system that uses multiple backups to increase reliability and decrease downtime. 

The DS3800HMPJ is designed with a backplane connector on its rear edge.  This allows the board to communicate with other boards in the rack system.  The board is marked with several codes along its board edges.  This may be different according to board revision but will give the user more information regarding specifics of the particular board purchased.  

Other board components on the DS3800HMPJ include a front right-angled connector that includes screw mounts to secure a cable connector.  This board edge also has two LED indicators and three jumper switches.  It also has two extractor clips mounted within its factory drilled corner holes.   The board has an additional vertical pin connector in the center of the board that is close to standoffs.  This connector and standoffs are located to allow for the addition of an optional daughterboard.   The board has many integrated circuits.  It also has several other jumper switches beyond those located on the front board edge.  Jumpers will allow the board to be customized as the user requires.
