The GE Microprocessor Board DS3800HMPK1F1E is designed for quick installation in the drive. The board features a modular connector on 1 end and retention levers on the other end. The GE Microprocessor Board DS3800HMPK1F1E also is populated with 3 red indicator LEDs and 1 amber LED which are visible from the front of the board. The board also is populated with a microprocessor, erasable programmable read-only memory (EPROM) modules, and a 34-pin connector. It also is populated with 2 50-pin connectors.

The GE Microprocessor Board DS3800HMPK1F1E is populated with 1 modular connector that has several advantages for the operator and installer. The modular connector makes it quick and easy to connect the board to the drive. The installer slides the board into the board rack and the 2 modular connectors meet. They slide together and form a connection.

The connection provide electric power to the board without the need for power cables. They also make signal connections without the need for signal cables that have to routed and managed. The signals are received by the board for processing. The microprocessor embedded on the board processes the signals as needed. Then, the signals are transmitted to other components in the drive for further processing.

When the board must be removed, lift up on the retention levers to unlock the board. Then, use the levers as handles to remove the board from the rack. Remove the 34-pin ribbon cable from the connector between the levers, if 1 is attached. When the board is removed from the rack, disconnect the 50-pin ribbon cables.
