The GE Microprocessor Board DS3800HMPK1F1F is designed for quick installation in the drive. The board features a modular connector on 1 end and retention levers on the other end. The GE Microprocessor Board DS3800HMPK1F1F also is populated with 3 red indicator LEDs and 1 amber LED which are visible from the front of the board. The board also is populated with a microprocessor, erasable programmable read-only memory (EPROM) modules, and a 34-pin connector. It also is populated with 2 50-pin connectors.

The EPROM module sockets on the board are empty on a replacement GE Microprocessor Board DS3800HMPK1F1F when you receive it. This is so that the servicer can install the modules from the original board. To maintain the productivity on the drive, the replacement board must process information the same as the defective board. When you move the modules from the old board to the new board, the instructions code and firmware will be the same. This ensures that the processing behavior will be the same in the new board.
