About the DS3800HMPK1J1H
The GE Microprocessor Board DS3800HMPK1J1H is designed for quick installation in the drive. The board features a modular connector on 1 end and retention levers on the other end. The GE Microprocessor Board DS3800HMPK1J1H also is populated with 3 red indicator LEDs and 1 amber LED which are visible from the front of the board. The board also is populated with a microprocessor, erasable programmable read-only memory (EPROM) modules, and a 34-pin connector. It also is populated with 2 50-pin connectors.
The drive operator can view the indicator LEDs on the GE Microprocessor Board DS3800HMPK1J1H while the drive is in operation. When full voltage is present in the board and the board has successfully passed the startup diagnostic tests, the amber LED is lit. When the amber LED is not lit, there are several possible reasons. This might be because the board did not pass the startup diagnostic tests or because power is not present. The first troubleshooting step is to reseat the board in the board rack.
Remove all power from the drive. Be aware that the drive has more than 1 source of electrical power and that you must remove all power before touching any components in the drive. Disconnect power from a circuit breaker to remove ac power. Remove a fuse from the rectifier to remove dc power. Lift up on the retention levers to unseat the board. Then, reset the board and use your thumbs to carefully seat the board in the modular connector. Close the retention levers and restart the drive to verify that the board is operational and that the amber LED is lit.
