About the DS3800HMPK1J1J
The GE Microprocessor Board DS3800HMPK1J1J is designed for quick installation in the drive. The board features a modular connector on 1 end and retention levers on the other end. The GE Microprocessor Board DS3800HMPK1J1J also is populated with 3 red indicator LEDs and 1 amber LED which are visible from the front of the board. The board also is populated with a microprocessor, erasable programmable read-only memory (EPROM) modules, and a 34-pin connector. It also is populated with 2 50-pin connectors.
The GE Microprocessor Board DS3800HMPK1J1J is a high-voltage device with multiple sources electrical power. Some of the sources carry dc current. The dc current is converted from ac current by inverters that are installed near the drive. To disconnect dc power, you can remove the fuses from the inverters. This disables the inverters and stops current from entering the drive. Other sources carry ac current. The ac current uses circuit breakers as safety devices. You can pull the circuit breaker to disconnect the ac power.
The high-voltage current is a safety hazard and requires some planning before a servicer works around it, even after the power is removed from the drive. Under some conditions, the floor of the work environment might be moist or wet. Before you touch the drive, make sure the floor is clean and dry. Use rags to dry the floor. Clean up any oil or grease that might be on the floor. Use a degreaser to clean the floor and make sure the floor is dry after the clean up.
