About the DS3800HPCA1F
DS3800HPCA1F Counter Digital Pulse Board Mark IV GE
The DS3800HPCA1F is a Mark IV Speedtronic board component. This board, no longer manufactured by General Electric, is designed as a Counter Digital Pulse Board. The Mark IV was the third of the Speedtronic gas and steam turbine control systems to be released by General Electric, and the first of the series to offer triple modular redundant control. TMR control has double and triple backups on all important protection parameters and controls. Consequently, this type of control tends to reduce downtime caused by equipment/board failure.
The DS3800HPCA1F can be purchased from AX Control as a reconditioned unit or as liquidated new-used stock.
The DS3800HPCA1F is a rectangular circuit board with extractor clips installed in two corners. These clips act as a handle during installation and give technicians a lever point to pull the board out of a tight rack location during extraction. The board is marked with the General Electric logo, with its board ID, and with alignment marks along the top edge.
The DS3800HPCA1F has a long right-angled connector located on its left edge. The right edge of the board is populated by nine TP test points, four red LED indicators, an amber LED indicator, and a switch component. Other board components include metal film resistors, electrolytic and ceramic capacitors, diodes, and thirty-four integrated circuits, including an oscillating chip.
