About the DS3800HPIB
The DS3800HPIB is part of the Speedtronic Mark IV Line by General Electric (GE). The DS3800HPIB is a large circuit board that features eight connection terminals, varying in size along both sides of the circuit board. There is a small red square on the bottom left with a toggle switch. The DS3800HPIB has around fifty small sky blue colored diodes. The DS3800HPIB also has around half a dozen silver diodes. The DS3800HPIB also has a mixture of around forty-five EPROM and EEPROMS. The EPROM and EEPROMs store all the programming for the circuit board to perform its task efficiently. The EPROMs are able to be re-programmed/ updated as needed. The EEPROM, however, cannot be changed. The DS3800HPIB has eight bar-shaped capacitors that connect to the circuit board with ten prongs each. These capacitors are a golden yellow color. The DS3800HPIB also features thirty-six LEDs or light-emitting diodes. These LEDs light up at various times as the energy current flows across the board and as the programming deems necessary. The DS3800HPIB also features around forty-five resistors. The resistors are small and light blue in color. Each resistor has a unique banding pattern of various colors. These colored stripes indicate the number of Ohms that each resistor can handle. Each piece on the DS3800HPIB is labeled with an alphanumeric combination. General Electric's (GE) stamp is also present on the board along with the part number DS3800HPIB.
