About the DS3800HPMA1E1D
The DS3800HPMA1E1D is a Speedtronic Mark IV series by General Electric. The DS3800HPMA1E1D also has a large female terminal port and two grey clips to attach it in place. The DS3800HPMA1E1D features nine small groups of metal pins referred to as Jumper ports. The jumper ports come with small plastic covers that slide over the top of a couple pins at one time. The Jumper ports and covers allow the operator to decide which way the energy flows through the board. The DS3800HPMA1E1D has twenty pale blue diodes and three silver diodes. A diode only allows energy to flow through it in one direction. The DS3800HPMA1E1D also has fifteen light blue resistors and five dark green resistors. The resistors have up to five different colored bands around the outside to show how much energy they can withstand at a given time. The DS3800HPMA1E1D has a crystal oscillator which is a small silver rectangle that uses a crystal to create a very precise frequency. The DS3800HPMA1E1D has a combination of twenty-eight integrated circuits. Integrated circuits and separated into two categories. The categories are EEPROM and EPROM. The EEPROMs come pre-programmed and cannot be altered. The EPROM come pre-programmed as well however they can be updated as new program software becomes available. You can tell the difference between the EEPROM and EPROM by a small circle that the EPROM have on the top of it where the new programming is uploaded. There is a section labeled “SPARE” to add an additional EPROM or EEPROM. Also, sixteen of the integrated circuits are split into two equal rows. At the bottom of one row it reads “HIGH BYTE” and at the bottom of the second row it reads “LOW BYTE”.
