About the DS3800HRMD
The DS3800HRMD is produced by GE (General Electric) for their Speedtronic Mark IV Turbine series. This board has one-hundred and twenty-six resistors. These resistors have several uses, they adjust signals, reduce current flow among others. There are six pale blue diodes, there are thirty-five orange tinted diodes, three metal diodes, a black diode and a red diode. The DS3800HRMD also has twenty sets of metal prongs called Jumper ports. These Jumper ports have blue covers that can be moved around the different ports to adjust how the current flows around the circuit board. There three slender yellow capacitors and one slender blue capacitor. There is also a cylindrical yellow capacitor and three small black half circle capacitors. The DS3800HRMD has a mixture of forty-four EPROMs and EEPROMs. These devices hold the programs that allow the DS3800HRMD to function. If the DS3800HRMD requires an update it would be added to the board via the EPROMs which have a tiny port to receive the new programming. If addition programming space is needed an additional unit can be added, in the space labeled “SPARE”. The DS3800HRMD has a little switch. The DS3800HRMD also has a female connector along one edge and two smaller male connectors on the other side. One male connect is smaller than the other. The DS3800HRMD can also be simply connected to other circuit boards with a few screws and a couple of clips.
