About the DS3800HRRA1C1
The GE Relay Output Board DS3800HRRA1C1 is designed for quick installation in the drive. The board features a modular connector on 1 end and retention levers on the other end. The board is populated with 8 red indicator LEDs and 1 reset toggle switch. The analog/digital converter is a component embedded on the board. It converts the analog signals to a digital format. The digital format is used for signal processing throughout the drive. The GE Relay Output Board DS3800HRRA1C1 is also populated with 1 amber indicator LED.
The GE Relay Output Board DS3800HRRA1C1 is installed in the drive and multiple safety checks must be made before a servicer or technician can safely service the board or replace the board. Before starting the task, the servicer must check the floor surrounding the drive for moisture. If the floor has moisture, it can conduct electricity and cause an electric shock. To prevent that from happening, dry the floor of all moisture. If puddles of water are present make sure the floor is completely dry. If moisture is a recurring condition, consider placing dehumidifiers in the room to dry the air which will cause less condensation.
If the floor is covered with oil or grease it is best practice to clean the floor. Use detergent to clean the floor and do not proceed until the floor is clean and dry. If an emergency occurs, a slick floor might prevent fast action that prevents serious injury.
Another issue to consider is the presence of 2-wire extension cords. Without a ground wire, extension cords are dangerous and can cause electric shock. Remove all ungrounded extension cords and replace them with grounded extension cords.
