About the DS3800HSAA1J1D
The GE Dom Plus Servo Amp Board DS3800HSAA1J1D features a modular connector on 1 end and retention levers on the other end. The board is populated with a heat sink. The analog/digital converter is a component embedded on the board. The GE Dom Plus Servo Amp Board DS3800HSAA1J1D is also populated with 1 34-pin connector and 1 socket for electrically erasable programmable read-only memory (EEPROM) modules. The board is also populated with 3 trimmer resistors.
The 34-pin connector attaches to a ribbon cable that sends control signals to the board. The signals are processed by the components and when complete, the signals are transmitted to other boards in the drive. This is the normal processing activity that takes place on the board. The 34-pin ribbon cable is equipped with retention latches that ensure the cable remains connected to the 34-pin connector. To attach a ribbon cable, swing the retention latches away from the front of the connector. Plug in the ribbon cable and move 1 retention latch over the ribbon cable. When it is fully engaged, it snaps over the connector. Then, move the other retention latch over the ribbon cable.
The retention latch protects the ribbon cable from damage. If the ribbon cable is tugged or ripped out of the connector, some of the 34 signal wires might be damaged and lose connection to the board.
The 34-pin connector is accessible from the front of the board. It is located between the retention levers.
