About the DS3800HSCC1D
DS3800HSCC1D Input module Mark IV GE
The DS3800HSCC1D is a GE Mark IV component used as an Input Module. The Mark IV was created by General Electric as the third commercially released Speedtronic system for the management of gas and steam turbines. The MKIV offered triple modular redundant control with important secondary and tertiary backups to all critical controls and protection parameters. These redundant systems significantly reduced downtime in the system caused by hardware issues. The DS3800HSCC1D can be purchased from AX Control as either a reconditioned unit or as a liquidated surplus part (new, never used.)
The DS3800HSCC1D is a rectangular circuit board. Factory-made mounting holes have been drilled in each corner. Two of these are populated by extractor clips, which allow technicians to more easily insert and extract the board. The DS3800HSCC1D is marked with the GE logo, with its board ID number, and with several other codes. Board components include a line of right-angled LED indicators on the right edge of the board. There are sixteen red and one amber LED. Next to these, the board has two TP test points. TP test points exist in other locations on the board as well.
Other board components include several board stiffeners. These run in both directions. The board has nineteen integrated circuits, multiple resistors, diodes, and capacitors, along with a series of spare PTH. Surface wiring is used on the board to connect a component with right-angled pins to the board’s surface. The unit also has a right-angled connector located along its left edge.
