About the DS3800HXPA1E1E
The GE Memory Expander Board DS3800HXPA1E1E is designed for quick installation in the drive. The board features a modular connector on 1 end and retention levers on the other end. The GE Memory Expander Board DS3800HXPA1E1E also is populated with 3 40-pin connectors between the retention levers. The board is also populated with multiple electrically erasable programmable read-only memory (EEPROM) modules and 1 amber indicator LED.
The amber indicator LED is on when a warning is issued for the board operations. It indicates that a problem has occurred that can be resolved. The first step to resolve the issue is to disconnect the board from power and allow the control signals to restart. The signals might have become unreadable or have gotten out of sequence. The board isn’t equipped with a restart button, however, performing a restart is still possible. Lift up on the retention levers that secure the board in the rack. The retention levers press the board against the modular connector. The modular connector mates with the modular connector found on the drive at the bottom of the rack.
After you release the levers, use the levers as handles and pull the board out of the rack about four inches. The control signals are disconnected. Wait 30 seconds and press the board back into the rack and press the retention levers back into place. Restart the drive. The warning condition might be resolved when the signals are back in sequence and the normal processing can start.
