About the DS3800HXPC1D1E
The DS3800HXPC1D1E by General Electric is a PCB designed as a CPU Extender board for the Speedtronic Mark IV line. The Mark IV is a steam and gas turbine control system made to control all aspects of turbine systems, including protecting the system from unsafe operating conditions. The Mark IV can also be used to synchronize and voltage match the generator and the system, to monitor auxiliary functions, and to sequence the system for start up and shut down procedures.
The DS3800HXPC1D1E
-
-has 37 jumper switches. Jumpers may be used to customize a PCB. Some of the jumpers on DS3800HXPC1D1E are multi-positional. These switches are located in groups around the board, nine parallel to the right edge, eight perpendicular to this group, four parallel to the left edge, six perpendicular to this edge. The final two are individually placed in the upper right corner of the board.
-
-is factory drilled. Two of the factory made holes have clips installed.
-
-has 48 integrated circuits. These include Intel internal timer circuits, AMD P8259A8710DP, and Texas Instruments SN74LS244N and SN74LS240N.
-
-has six resistor networks. These may be for voltage division or for data conversion.
-
-has one female connector and two male connectors. These are placed on opposite sides of the board.
-
-is marked for alignment along its top edge (A through J.)
-
-has been created using aluminum (electrolytic) capacitors and metal film resistors.
The DS3800HXPC1D1E had installation guidelines published by General Electric in original technical support information such as data sheets and manuals. Please refer to these for safety and installation procedures.
