The GE Microprocessor Expander Board DS3800HXPD1B1D is designed for quick installation in the drive. The board features a modular connector on 1 end and retention levers on the other end. The GE Microprocessor Expander Board DS3800HXPD1B1D also is populated with 2 34-pin connectors between the retention levers. The board is also populated with 8 sockets for electrically erasable programmable read-only memory (EEPROM) modules and 18 jumpers.

This provides the technician the opportunity to remove the modules from the defective board being replaced. The modules are sensitive to static electricity.
