The GE Series 6 Receiver Board DS3800HXRA1E1D is designed for quick installation in the drive. The board features a modular connector on 1 end and retention levers on the other end. The GE Series 6 Receiver Board DS3800HXRA1E1D also is populated with 2 40-pin connectors between the retention levers. The board is also populated with 1 34-pin connector on the board surface for connection to a daughter card, and 5 jumpers.
The 40-pin connector on the GE Series 6 Receiver Board DS3800HXRA1E1D is dedicated to connecting the board to the daughter card. The daughter cards is populated with a short 40-pin ribbon cable. One end of the ribbon cable is permanently attached to the daughter card. And the other end is terminated with a 40-pin connector. The ribbon cable connector is plugged into the connector on the surface of the board. It provides the electrical current to power the daughter card. It also carries the control signals that are sent to the daughter card. Once received by the daughter card, processing takes place and the signals are transmitted back to the board. This occurs without operator intervention.
When you install the daughter card, care must be used to make sure it doesn’t scratch the surface of the board. Align the 4 holes and place the holes over the standoffs. Push the holes over the standoffs one at a time. Then, press the 40-pin connector into the board.
Before you can install the board, set the jumpers to configure the board to the requirements of the site.
