About the DS3800NADC
The DS3800NADC is a PCB from GE meant to integrate into their Mark IV(Speedtronic) line. The Mark IV is a robust steam and gas turbine control system that relies on intentional redundancies built within integrated chipsets to help reduce downtime caused by electronics failure. It can be used to automate nearly all the functions of the turbine system and its auxiliaries.
The DS3800NADC acts as an analog input circuit card within the Mark IV. It has the following specifications:
-
It has been drilled in all corners at the factory.
-
It is alignment marked on its top edge.
-
It has extractor clips installed in both right corners. Extractor clips help a technician remove the board from restricted spaces without touching any of the circuitry.
-
It has two potentiometers. These are placed side by side near the upper right corner.
-
It has one male connector for communicating with other PCBs.
-
It has four TP test points placed along its right edge.
-
It has one terminal block.
-
It has 33 integrated circuits, including the Datel A/D converter ADC-HX12BMC. This circuit features 12-bit resolution, has 5 input voltage ranges, and features an internal high Z input buffer and short-cycle operation. Output coding is complementary binary, complementary offset binary, or complementary two's complement.
Installation guidelines for the DS3800NADC can be found with manuals and/or data sheets. These technical support publications were originally published by GE.
