About the DS3800NCIA
The DS3800NCIA is a current isolator created for the Speedtronic Mark IV turbine control series. The DS3800NCIA was manufactured by General Electric. A current isolator has many benefits. Using a current isolator reduces ground loop, eliminates conducted noise, physically separates one part of the system from another, protects users from faulty equipment, enables safe and accurate measurements, and protects circuits, equipment, and people from shocks and short circuits.
The DS3800NCIA has a connector port located on the left side of the circuit board. There are seven blue capacitors centered in the middle of the board. In addition to the blue capacitors are medium sized yellow capacitors and smaller yellow capacitors. The DS3800NCIA has four blue potentiometers, or variable resistors. These allow the resistance to be adjusted in a device. Two large transformers are arranged on the left half of the board and are labeled with their part number, 218A4583P1 2. Six transistors are placed in various areas of the DS3800NCIA. Eleven integrated circuits are featured all over the board, each one containing very small components such as capacitors, resistors, and diodes. A number of banded resistors striped in different colors are found all over the circuit board. The different colors of the bands of each resistor indicate the resistance capacity of each device. The DS3800NCIA also has several black and grey diodes.
All products from AX Control are shipped in static bags, which dispel any static energy accumulated during shipping before it is handled by the customer for user safety.
