About the DS3800NCJA
The DS3800NCJA is a circuit board that was made by General Electric. This board was produced to be a component in the Speedtronic Mark IV system which controls turbines. The DS3800NCJA card is a daughter board. These small boards are designed to be connected to the surface of a larger circuit board and provide extra components for the larger board.
The DS3800NCJA features a small connector port on its left side. This port enables the board to be connected to other parts. On the other half of the daughter board are two blue potentiometers. Each potentiometer, also known as a variable resistor, contains a dial which lets the users change each potentiometer’s amount of resistance. Located in the center of the DS3800NCJA is one integrated circuit. This integrated circuit contains tiny components like resistors, diodes, and capacitors. Two large yellow capacitors are on the right half of the daughter board. On the other half of the DS3800NCJA are two smaller yellow capacitors. Placed on the left half of the board are two silver capacitors. The DS3800NCJA features several resistors. Four large red resistors can be found on the right of the board and two smaller red resistors are located on the left, along with two black resistors. Additionally, there are a couple of red resistors banded in other colors. Placed on the bottom edge of the DS3800NCJA are two thermistors. Thermistors are a type of resistor whose resistance depends on temperature. Adjacent to these thermistors are a few test points, which allow the board to be tested to make sure it is working properly.
