About the DS3800NCLA1B1B
General Electric created the DS3800NCLA1B1B for their Speedtronic Mark IV series. The Mark IV was made for controlling gas and steam turbines. The DS3800NCLA1B1B is an RS-232 interface card. The Mark IV system automates turbine processes and monitors emissions. Mark IV one of several Mark systems that have been developed over the last few decades, beginning with the Mark I system.
The DS3800NCLA1B1B has one (1) black connector port. This connector port is used to attach more circuit boards and extra components to the circuit board. Adding on additional components provides the board with extra functionality. Two red LEDs, or light-emitting diodes, are found on the DS3800NCLA1B1B. These LEDs glow with a red light when the diodes are functioning. A number of jumper pins are located on the circuit board. These jumpers pins can be connected with a jumper. Connecting the pins can change the functions of the DS3800NCLA1B1B. Five integrated circuits are found on the surface of the board. Every integrated circuit contains a number of various components. Tiny capacitors, diodes, and resistors can be found on the DS3800NCLA1B1B. A variety of small components like capacitors, resistors, and diodes cover a wide area of the surface of the circuit board. Two medium-sized capacitors are placed close together. A number of other capacitors in different sizes and colors are scattered around the DS3800NCLA1B1B. Featured on the DS3800NCLA1B1B is a long grey box. Eight small components are placed inside the box.
Technical support for the DS3800NCLA1B1B was originally provided by General Electric.
