The DS3800NDAD is part of General Electric’s Speedtronic Mark IV series. The DS3800NDAD has eight Variable Resistors or Potentiometers. The Variable Resistors on the DS3800NDAD are small and large in size. The Variable Resistors are also adjustable using a tiny screw on the top of them. By adjusting the Variable Resistor the worker can control how much energy can flow through the DS3800NDAD at any time. The DS3800NDAD has around twenty small blue resistors with colored bands on the outside. The DS3800NDAD has nine small circular transistors. The transistors are used to amplify or change electrical signals and electrical power. The DS3800NDAD has a small thin metal divider on the side of the Variable Resistors. The DS3800NDAD has one small thing yellow capacitor and three average-size yellow capacitors. The capacitors generate an electrical field. The electrical field is then used to store excess energy for the DS3800NDAD to use at a later time. The DS3800NDAD has twenty-five yellow diodes, four grey diodes, three black diodes, and one yellow LED (light emitting diode). The DS3800NDAD has two sets of metal pins with orange covers. The DS3800NDAD has a mixture of nineteen integrated circuits. The integrated circuits are used to hold the programming data for the DS3800NDAD. There are two types of integrated circuits the EPROM and the EEPROM. The EEPROM cannot be altered when the EPROM can be updated as new programming becomes available.
