About the DS3800NDID1P1A
GE manufactured the DS3800NDID1P1A as part of their Speedtronic/Mark IV line. The Mark IV, designed for steam/gas turbine management, can keep the turbine system operating within safe parameters. It also automates such processes as shutdown and cool down.
The DS3800NDID1P1A is a larger circuit board that supports two auxiliary boards. This includes the 6BA9407P2 board as well as an unmarked board populated with multiple chips. The motherboard has seventy-six integrated circuits including decoders/demultiplexers, oscillators, and OR gates. The DS3800NDID1P1A also is built with twenty transistors.
The DS3800NDID1P1A has one rotary potentiometer and one trim potentiometer. It has two resistor networks built into the board. There are six jumper switches. These can be moved to complete different circuits. J6 can be set to "off" or "on." J5 and J4 can be set to "s" or "d." J3 can be set to "r" or "nr." J2 can be set to "vf" or "i."
On the right edge of the board, there is one push-button switch, seven LEDs of which five are red and two are amber, three LED strips, and eighteen test points. One of the six communication connectors also sits on this edge (218A4807-p13.) The other five connectors include two on the left edge (two 218A4553-1A/mp 553002-1,) two vertical pin connectors near the center of the board, and small ribbon connector also near the center.
The DS3800NDID1P1A is alignment marked and factory drilled. It has two board stiffeners installed along the long dimension of the board. This minimizes flex. The board has one heatsink. Six vertical nylon pins also populate the board.
Manuals and data sheets along with other technical support for the DS3800NDID1P1A was originally provided by GE.
