The GE Excitation Power Board DS3800NEPD features a hole in each corner through which you can insert a screw to secure the board. The board is populated with multiple capacitors. The board is populated with 2 Analog Devices power components. The GE Excitation Power Board DS3800NEPD is also populated with 1 amber indicator LED. The board also has 1 34-pin connector and multiple wire terminals for attaching wires and components to circuits. The board is also populated with 5 trimmer resistors.

The GE Excitation Power Board DS3800NEPD is populated with 2 sets of wire terminals. The wire terminals provide an easy method to modify circuits. A qualified servicer can add resistors or other components to an individual circuit to change how the board processes information.  For example, to modify a circuit by adding a particular resistor, the servicer can loosen the screws on top of the wire terminals. Then, insert the bare wires on the resistor into the space under the screws and tighten the screws to secure the resistor.

The GE Excitation Power Board DS3800NEPD also is populated with test points and an amber indicator LED. If the amber LED is on, it indicates that a warning is indicated on the board. The board has not stopped processing but the warning must be investigated. The amber LED will remain on until the warning is resolved. The test points provide the means to locate the problem. A qualified individual can use a full featured testing device to pinpoint the problem.
