About the DS3800NEPF
The DS3800NEPF is a printed circuit board (PCB) manufactured by GE as part of their Mark IV (Speedtronic) series. The Mark IV was designed for gas and steam turbine control management.
The DS3800NEPF has the following specifications:
-
It is factory drilled at all corners. It is also drilled in parallel lines along the long dimension of the board. Many of these holes are plated and marked with + or - signs. There is also one larger dimensional hole cut through the board near the right middle edge.
-
It has one trim potentiometer. It also has one voltage regulator and two thermistors, or thermal resistors.
-
It is designed with four transistors, including a Solitron 2N656A, which is an NPN epitaxial planar power transistor, medium to high voltage, fast switching.
-
It has three signal transformers, two marked 8140A and another marked 237B8615G1.
-
It has eight high power ceramic cement wire wound resistors. These include (3) IRC 9019 10W 60 Ω 5%, (1) IRC 9027 10W 10K 50%, and (4) IRC 9118 PW-10 10W 1 Ω 5%.
-
It has one 28 pin connector (male) located near the center of the PCB.
-
It has three terminal strips located on the board. These include two strips on the right edge. Both are single row strips. The first has 9 screw terminals. The second has 18 screw terminals.
-
It has one integrated circuit on the board. This is an Analog Devices 4202-1 P/N 68A9216P1.
-
It has multiple capacitors, including three ASC 9039 663 .22 MFD +/- 10% 600VDC.
- The board is alignment marked on two edges (1-10 and A-J.)
Technical support for the DS3800NEPF was originally provided by GE. Manuals and data sheets referencing the DS3800NEPF are excellent resources for installation instructions and maintenance schedules.
