About the DS3800NFCF1J1G
General Electric developed the DS3800NFCF1J1G as a turbine control firing board for the Mark IV(Speedtronic) series. The Mark IV, created for gas/steam turbine management, can protect the system from operating under unsafe and adverse conditions. It can also automate some procedures, such as startup, shutdown, and cooldown.
The DS3800NFCF1J1G acts as a motherboard for the optional auxiliary DS3800DFCF. When this board is installed it adds several components, including ammeters. Four nylon pins are installed on the left side of DS3800NFCF1J1G to support the corners of DS3800DFCF. Seventeen metal pins lock the board into place if it is installed.
The DS3800NFCF1J1G is built with 42 circuits, including flip-flops (buffered to offer max. isolation from external disturbance,) 4-bit up/down counters, 8-bit static MOS RAM chips, and crystal oscillators. All circuits are labeled.
The DS3800NFCF1J1G also includes the following components:
-
Fifteen LEDs. This includes fourteen red and one amber.
-
A 10-pin vertical male connector
-
Two 218A4637-P4 0027 connectors
-
Two jumper switches
-
Twenty-one transistors
-
Twenty-nine TP test points
-
Resistors, which tend to be made of ceramic covered metal film
-
Capacitors of differing values, but which include 8542 +/- M/e 0022 200V electrolytic capacitors
-
Factory drilled and marked for alignment
-
Two plunge switches. One is labeled "step," the other "reset."
If guidance for installation is needed, this can be found within original technical support publications from GE. Datasheets and manuals referencing DS3800NFCF1J1G will include installation and safety guidelines as well as maintenance schedules. Installation and maintenance of the DS3800NFCF1J1G and other Mark IV components should be attempted only by qualified electrical personnel.
