About the DS3800NFCG1E1B
DS3800NFCG1E1B Firing Circuit Mark IV General Electric
The DS3800NFCG1E1B is a circuit board component made by General Electric for use within their Speedtronic Mark IV system. The MKIV was the first of the Speedtronic line to offer TMR (triple modular redundant) architecture with fault-tolerant two-out-of-three voting on critical controls/protection parameters. No longer manufactured by GE, MKIV components can be purchased from AX Control as reconditioned and tested units or as liquidated never-used (as new) stock.
The DS3800NFCG1E1B functions as a firing circuit board. The board is designed to accept an (optional) daughter board that will attach to four nylon standoffs located on the left-hand side of the board. When this daughterboard is installed, the DS3800NFCG1E1B motherboard has access to additional components like five jumper switches and three ammeters. This auxiliary board is held in place via two lines of board-to-board pins.
The DS3800NFCG1E1B is populated by fifteen LED indicators. This includes seven red LEDs in the upper left corner and eight LEDs (seven red, one amber) in the lower left corner. The board has two plunge switches that are labeled rest and step. It has two jumper switches, two right-angled connectors (218A4637-P4 0027,) twenty-one transistors, twenty-nine TP test points, and a single vertical male connector. The board has a total of forty-two integrated circuits, including dual J/K negative edge-triggered flip-flops and 4-bit up/down counters. The board is marked along its edge for alignment purposes.
Technical support publications like manuals or user guides will provide additional information about proper installation or maintenance.
