About the DS3800NFEE
The DS3800NFEE was made by General Electric (GE). This board is a piece in the Mark IV series which was designed for turbine control. The DS3800NFEE is what is known as an analog interface circuit board.
Many various components of different sizes, colors, and shapes are featured on the DS3800NFEE. A black transformer which is shaped like a cube is very noticeable on the right of the board. The transformer’s part number is written on top, which is 218A4499-P2. Also included on the DES3800NFEE is a small connector port. The port is labeled with the part number, which is 218A4637P4 and is sitting on the left of the circuit board. More circuit cards or components may be connected to the DS3800NFEE by using this port. Three blue potentiometers may be seen close to the port on the left of the board. Operators may turn the dials on each potentiometers to alter the resistance of every component. These potentiometers are also sometimes known as variable resistors. Placed near each other in a group on the DS38800NFEE are four (4) brown resistors. Each of these resistors contains bands which are yellow, gold, and red. Also located all over the DS3800NFEE are a variety of smaller resistors which have multicolored bands and are light blue. Two yellow capacitors are found close to the upper edge of the circuit board. Near the lower edge of the DS3800NFEE, this is an orange capacitor. Also found around the circuit board are eight (8) integrated circuits.
