About the DS3800NGDC
The DS3800NGDC is a printed circuit board designed as a component for GE's Mark IV system. The Mark IV, created for gas and steam turbine management, can automate some procedures (start up, shut down, cool down,) and can protect the turbine system and keep it running within safe parameters. The DS3800NGDC is designed to function as a ground detector board.
The DS3800NGDC is designed with the following specifications:
-
It has three cement wire-wound resistors. Two of these are elevated away from the board using nylon plugs to hold the wires.
-
It has two (blue) 25V 100 μf capacitors and two yellow Seacor polyester DC foil & film axial lead capacitors (600v.) There are multiple other capacitors on the board.
-
It is factory drilled at all corners.
-
It has a line of spare PTH (plated through holes) located along one edge.
-
It has three transistors populating the board, including one larger Motorola transistor.
-
It has four integrated circuits.
-
It has six test points. However, these are numbered TP0 through TP5. TP0 is a ground point.
-
It has one three pin header (male) located along one edge.
-
It has one five position PC mount terminal strip, located along one edge, and one 2 position PCB terminal block located on the opposite edge.
-
It has two snap-in PCB mounts (screw mounts.)
-
It has various resistors and capacitors populating the board.
If help is needed during the installation of DS3800NGDC, technical support publications such as manuals and data sheets may be helpful. These were originally provided to the end user by GE.
