About the DS3800NGRA
The DS3800NGRA was designed by GE as a regulator board for their Mark IV series. The Mark IV is designed for gas/steam turbine management and can automate some procedures for increased management efficiency, including start-up and shut down. The system can also be used for air, fuel and water emissions monitoring.
The DS3800NGRA is marked on two edges (numbered and lettered) for alignment purposes. It is drilled in all corners. The board has four right-angled through-hole mating connectors attached. These are all marked 218A4637. There are one P4 and one P6 connector on the left and right edges of the board. The board also had one 28-pin (female) Augat connector. This is placed near the center of the board.
The DS3800NGRA has twenty-five integrated circuits. U1-U3 are marked as rigid envelope terminals, but no other information is given. Other circuits used include Quad SPST CMOS Analog switches, hex inverters, dual retriggerable one-shots, voltage comparators, flexible voltage comparators, and precision amplifiers.
The DS3800NGRA is built with various diodes, capacitors, and resistors. Resistors tend to be ceramic-covered metal film. Capacitors include 100V (2.0 +/-10%,) 200V (.33 +/-10%) and 80V (.047 +/- 10%.)
Technical support for the DS3800NGRA was provided by the original manufacturer (General Electric,) including publications like datasheets and manuals. This printed material may be the best resource for information on maintenance and installation.
