Product Description

The regulator board DS3800NGRA1G1B was manufactured by GE as part of the Mark IV series.  This series was created for steam/gas turbine management and is effective for improving the efficiency of the system by automating procedures such as shut down and start-up.  It can also be used to monitor water, air and fuel emissions.

The DS3800NGRA1G1B has one Augat connector located in the center of the board.  This is a 28-pin female connector. It also has four right-angled PCB mating connectors (218A4637,) two P4 and two P6, to communicate with other boards.  These connectors are located on both short edges of the board.

The DS3800NGRA1G1B has twenty-five circuits populating the board.  Included among these are three rigid envelope terminals. There are also analog switches, hex inverters, precision amplifiers, voltage comparators, and dual retriggerable one-shots with clear and complementary outputs. Retriggering to 100% duty cycle is possible by application of an input pulse train with a cycle time that is shorter than the output cycle time.  

The DS3800NGRA1G1B is factory-drilled for mounting.  It is alignment marked. Most components are marked, but diodes on the board may not have any marking.  Capacitors populating the board include ceramic, fixed vacuum and polyester film. The larger capacitors (80V, 100V, 200V) are usually made of polyester film.  The board tends to use ceramic-covered metal film resistors.

GE was responsible for all technical support for the DS3800NGRA1G1B.  This included written diagnostic publications for the user such as datasheets and manuals.
