Product Description

The DS3800NGRA1L1E regulator board from GE is a component in the Mark IV series.  This series was designed for steam/gas turbine management and can automate some procedures for increased efficiency (startup/shutdown/cooldown.)  It also minimizes downtime of the entire system caused by electronics failure by using integrated chipsets that duplicate all important responsibilities across multiple boards.  

The DS3800NGRA1L1E has the following specifications:

• It is marked A through J on its top edge.

• It is marked 2, then 10 through 80 on its left edge.

• It is factory drilled in all corners.

• It is marked with the codes 6BA04 and NGRA 6DA04.

• It has one Augat connector.  This is a 28-pin female connector

• It has four PCB mating connectors.  These are right-angled connectors. Two connectors are marked 218A4637P4.  Two connectors are marked 218A4637P6.

• It uses primarily ceramic-covered metal film resistors.  

• It uses polyester film capacitors.  Examples of polyester film capacitors on the board include .047 +/- 10% M/e AE 80V, 708A1 M/e 100V 2.0 +/- 10%, and 708A1 .33 +/- 10% A/e 200V.  

• It uses ceramic capacitors.

• It uses fixed vacuum capacitors

The DS3800NGRA1L1E has 25 circuits populating the board.  This includes voltage comparators able to operate from a single power supply of 5.0V, retriggerable one-shots capable of generating output pulses between a few nanoseconds up to 100% of the duty cycle, hex inverters,  Quad SPST CMOS Analog switches, and precision operational amplifiers designed with low input bias and offset currents.
