About the DS3800NGTA
The DS3800NGTA is a PCB from GE manufactured to function as a general test signal board in the Mark IV series. The Mark IV was created for gas/steam turbine management and can automate some procedures, such as startup and shut down. It can also be used for air, water and fuel emissions monitoring, and can help keep the system working within safe operating parameters.
The DS3800NGTA has two communications connectors attached to the board. This includes one 218A4553-1 A/mp 533002-1 connector located on its left edge and one multi-pin vertical connector attached to the upper right part of the board. This second connector attaches to an optional auxiliary board which is placed above the upper right of the board on four nylon pins that are attached to the DS3800NGTA.
Alignment markings have been made to one edge of the DS3800NGTA. It is also marked 6BA04 and marked with the GE stamp. Extractor clips are installed in both right corners. Extractors aid technicians in the removal or insertion of the PCB, especially in tight locations.
The DS3800NGTA is built with one toggle switch, four LEDs, two transistors, three potentiometers, three resistor network arrays, and five test points. All components are marked on the board.
Twenty-five integrated circuits have been used on the DS3800NGTA. The board is also populated with metal film resistors and capacitors of varying capacitance, but including polyester film capacitors of 2.0 +/- 10% M/e 100V, .22 +/- 2% M/e 200V, and .10 +/- 10% 80V.
Technical support for the DS3800NGTA was originally provided by GE in the form of datasheets and manuals.
