About the DS3800NHVF
The DS3800NHVF was created for General Electric’s Mark IV Speedtronic line. The DS3800NHVF is one of many circuit boards used to control gas turbines. The DS3800NHVF has four black boxes known as relays. A relay is an electrically operated switch, that is used when a circuit needs to be controlled by a lower power signal. The DS3800NHVF features four long black capacitors, four large silver capacitors, four smaller yellow capacitors, and four tiny yellow capacitors. Capacitors are used to store potential energy in an electrical field. There are twelve large brown resistors with different bandings of colors. Resistors are used to limit the current flow, adjust the signal levels or divide the voltage. The DS3800NHVF has around thirty diodes of various colors. Diodes allow for a current to flow in one direction. The DS3800NHVF also has four red light emitting diodes or LEDs. The LEDs illuminate as the current passes through them. The DS3800NHVF also has six white male ports. These ports are used to connect the DS3800NHVF with other circuit boards. Each white port has a different number of connection prongs. On average each port has three prongs placed in different areas of the port. The DS3800NHVF is considered a “daughter board” because it connects to a much larger board known as a “motherboard” in order to function. In order to attach the DS3800NHVF to the other board please use the holes pre-drilled for you.
