About the DS3800NHVH
The DS3800NHVH is part of GE’s Turbine series called Mark IV (Speedtronic). The DS3800NHVH has twelve black capacitors, six silver capacitors, and twelve smaller white capacitors. These different size capacitors hold on to extra electricity in an electrical field. Each capacitor can hold a different amount of energy based on its size. There are twelve black boxes on the DS3800NHVH. These boxes are known as relays. The relays are used to lower the power to control the circuit board. There are fourteen large grey diodes, nine small grey diodes, four large yellow diodes, twelve tiny black diodes, and three glass diodes. Diodes are used to make the energy flow in one direction. There are sixteen tiny light blue resistors and thirty-six large brown resistors. Each resistor has colored strips on them. These strips indicate how much energy a resistor can withstand at any given moment. The DS3800NHVH has six white plastic male ports. Each male port has six metal prongs that insert into the correct attachment of another circuit board. There is also a smaller white male port with only five prongs at the bottom of the board. The DS3800NHVH also has a male port with a black cover in the center of the board. The DS3800NHVH also features several groups of Jumper Ports. These ports allow the flow of energy to be changed by the worker based on which ports are covered up and which are exposed. The DS3800NHVH does come with covers for the Jumper Ports.
