About the DS3800NHVN
The DS3800NHVN is a high voltage board for General Electrics Mark IV (Speedtronic) Turbine series.
The DS3800NHVN is used to operate a gas turbine. Turbines are a large producer of energy around the world. A gas turbine is made up of many parts from circuit boards like the DS3800NHVN all the way to the internal combustion engine that makes the turbine move. The internal combustion engine uses a mixture of air and fuel to cause an internal fire to create a mixture of gasses that are under pressure and force there way out by making the turbine spin, which then generates energy that is harnessed for multiple purposes.
The DS3800NHVN has four black towers referred to as relays which regulate the amount of energy the circuit board takes in at one time. Each relay is adjustable. The DS3800NHVN also has the ability to store extra energy in an electrical field using its capacitors. The DS3800NHVN has four small yellow capacitors, four metal capacitors, and four long black capacitors. The DS3800NHVN has seven male ports that are used to hook the DS3800NHVN to other surrounding circuit boards. There are three along each short edge and a single one in the middle of the long edge at the bottom.
The DS3800NHVN has eight grey diodes, six LEDs four are red and two are clear. The DS3800NHVN also has sixteen resistors. The resistors restrict energy flow at those points. The amount of energy each resistor is able to handle is indicated by the colored bands on the outside of the resistor.
