About the DS3800NMEC1D1C
The DS3800NMEC1D1C is a motor exciter control board from GE, for their Mark IV system. This series was created to manage steam or gas turbine systems. It increases efficiency by automating some standard procedures like cooldown.
The DS3800NMEC1D1C is designed with multiple nylon spacer pins. The majority of these pins are placed along the edges of the board in pre-drilled holes. The DS3800NMEC1D1CIs also drilled in each corner. There are six communication connectors populating this board, including three right-angled PCB mating connectors (218A4637P2.) These are labeled on the board as JE, JA, and JH. There are also two vertical male mating connectors, which are labeled DA and DB. The last connector is a right-angled 6-pin header, which is labeled JP on the board.
The DS3800NMEC1D1C is built with one rotary potentiometer, ten transistors, seventeen test (TP) points, and two jumper switches. One jumper can be set to J32 or J33. The other can be set to IN or OUT. Jumper switches give the end user some flexibility in how the board is wired, as the jumper switches finish different circuits depending on where they are placed.
The DS3800NMEC1D1C is built with many circuits, including a 6.000 Mhz oscillator that can meet TTL compatible output. It has multiple operational amplifiers that operate from 10 MΩ source resistances. Integrators with drifts of less than 500 μV/sec and analog time delays in excess of one hour can be made with these amplifiers. The board also has quad 2-input NAND buffers and quad voltage comparators.
All technical support for the DS3800NMEC1D1C was provided by GE. This includes publications like manuals.
Although the OEM no longer supports Mark IV components, AX Control will help you maintain the health of your older Speedtronic system through our service, exchange, and sales programs.
