Product Description

The DS3800NMEC1F1D is a PCB manufactured by GE for the Mark IV system.  This system was created to manage gas and steam turbines. It is built on a microprocessor-based design with triple-redundancy backups on all protection parameters and critical controls; this allows workload to shift if ever a single PCB has an electrical issue and minimizes downtime to the entire system.  The Mark IV also allows the user to automate some standard processes, like start-up and shut down.

The DS3800NMEC1F1D is designed to act as a motor exciter control board.  It has six communication connectors for communicating with other PCBs, including two male vertical pin connectors located near its center; these are labeled DA and DB.  The board has three right-angled connectors on its right edge (218A4637P2,) along with one right-angled six-pin header.

The DS3800NMEC1F1D is built with ten transistors and seventeen test points.  It has one potentiometer and two jumper switches. Both jumpers have two settings only, the first giving the option of IN or OUT, the second the option of J32 or J33.  Jumpers allow the user to finish off circuits as they desire to customize the use of the board.

The DS3800NMEC1F1D is built with 37 circuits, including operational amplifiers, 2-input NAND buffers, voltage comparators, and oscillators.
