Product Description

The DS3800NMFA1D1D is a PCB (printed circuit board) manufactured by GE for the Mark IV gas/steam turbine management system.  This system was designed with integrated chipsets built with two-out-of-three voting redundancies on protection and critical control parameters, which help limit downtime caused by electronics failure. The system also improves efficiency by automating such procedures as startup and shutdown. It can also monitor fuel, air and water emissions.

The  DS3800NMFA1D1D is designed as a motor field regulator.  It is also a motherboard for the optional DS3800DMFA auxiliary board.  This board has ten potentiometers and multiple quick-connect screw mounts, which are made available to the motherboard when it is connected via twenty board-to-board pins located in the upper right quadrant of DS3800NMFA1D1D.  

The DS3800NMFA1D1D has seven light emitting diodes (LEDs) including six red and one amber.  It has twelve test points (TPs) that are individually labeled. Extractor clips are installed in each right corner.  Extractor clips provide technicians with a handle or an optional lever point to help insert or extract a PCB from tight spots without touching the circuitry on the board.

The DS3800NMFA1D1D is built with one PCB mating connector, marked 218A4553-1 AMP, one Augat connector, and twelve transistors.  It has nineteen integrated circuits, including quad 2-input positive NOR gates, quad single supply comparators, and dual operational amplifiers.
