About the DS3800NPCT1A1A
DS3800NPCT1A1A Field Power Circuit Board Mark IV General Electric
The DS3800NPCT1A1A is a board component used within the GE Mark IV Speedtronic system for gas/steam turbine control. The MKIV was the first of the Speedtronic systems to offer two-out-of-three fault-tolerant voting control. TMR control designed with this type of redundant control significantly reduced downtime caused by hardware issues. MKIV boards can be purchased from AX Control fully tested and reconditioned by our in-house technicians.
The DS3800NPCT1A1A functions as a field power circuit card. This board is not rectangular most cards in this series, but instead is shaped similarly to a lower-case “b.” The main body of the board is populated with several jumper wires and jumper switches that all carry reference designator tags. Short lengths of surface wire connect point-to-point board connections in at least two instances. The board has fifteen factory-made drill holes within its body, located primarily in two parallel lines that run from the top edge to the bottom. Eight of these are ringed with a conductive material and two are oblong instead of round. Drill holes are (typically) labeled with reference designators. The board is also labeled with several codes like 6BA02 and carries the GE logo.
User guides, manuals, and datasheets from General Electric will provide the end user with further information about installation, maintenance, and proper handling of the DS3800NPCT1A1A. All technical support issues for the Mark IV series were originally handled by GE.
