About the DS3800NPCT1B1A
DS3800NPCT1B1A GE Mark IV Field Power Circuit Board
The DS3800NPCT1B1A is a General Electric Mark IV board component used within Speedtronic gas and steam turbine systems. The MKIV was one of the first control systems to offer TMR architecture with fault-tolerant voting. This type of control system significantly improves reliability due to limiting downtime caused by hardware faults. GE no longer manufactures MKIV components, but they can be purchased from AX Control as reconditioned and fully tested boards.
The DS3800NPCT1B1A is a field power circuit board. This is a small, oddly shaped board. Unlike most MKIV boards it is not rectangular but looks more like a lower-case b. The board is populated with jumper switches and jumper wires. Surface wiring is used in at least two locations. The board is also heavily drilled and has two lines of drill holes running parallel through the body of the board, a total of fifteen holes in all. The majority of these are ringed with a conductive material. Drill holes and other components are marked with reference designators. The board is marked with codes like 6BA02.
