About the DS3800NPSB
The DS3800NPSB was created by GE (General Electric) to be a part of the Speedtronic MKIV series for turbine control. The MKIV series is in charge of automating and protecting gas and steam turbine systems.
The DS3800NPSB contains three (3) large orange capacitors in a variety of places on the circuit board. The DS3800NPSB contains one (1) large silver capacitor and many silver capacitors which are smaller. The DS3800NPSB contains a total of seven (7) silver capacitors. The DS3800NPSB has seven (7) blue potentiometers. Every potentiometer has a small dial which can be used by the operator to change the resistance of each device. The DS3800NPSB has six (6) integrated circuit on its surface. Contained in each integrated circuit are several small components like resistors, capacitors, and diodes. Ten (10) total transistors are featured on the DS3800NPSB. Of the ten transistors, three (3) of them are black and the other seven (7) are silver in color. The DS3800NPSB has a blue terminal block which is positioned near the middle of the printed circuit board. Six (6) test points are located on the right edge of the DS3800NPSB near the top. Using the test points, a user can test that the DS3800NPSB is functioning properly. Two (2) large resistors which are grey in color are found on the DS3800NPSB. These two resistors are rectangular. They are grouped together in a pair close to the upper edge of the DS3800NPSB. A series of many jumper pins are lined up along the edges of the DS3800NPSB. Jumpers can be used to connected these pins to alter the functions of the DS3800NPSB.
