About the DS3800NPSE1A1A
The DS3800NPSE1A1A was developed as part of the Speedtronic Mark IV (MKIV) turbine control series. This system is in charge of both gas and steam turbines. Mark IV also protects the system from any damage which may occur due to unsafe working conditions. GE (General Electric) created this printed circuit board (PCB). This part is what is called a power supply board.
The DS3800NPSE1A1A features many various types of components. These components include capacitors, diodes, resistors, ports, and many other types of parts. The DS3800NPSE1A1A contains three (3) ports. These ports can be used to connected other components such as other circuit board to the DS3800NPSE1A1A. Two of the connector ports are situated on the left edge of the DS3800NPSE1A1A. The last connector port is small than the other two. This port is situated on the top edge of the DS3800NPSE1A1A. The part number of this smaller port, which is 218A4637P2, is written on the top of the device. Next to this port, there are three (3) potentiometers. These devices are also known as variable resistors. They are called this because each has a dial on the top of the device with which operators can adjust the resistance. Near the bottom of the DS3800NPSE1A1A there is one MOV or metal oxide varistor. This MOV is red and circular in shape. It is the only varistor on the DS3800NPSE1A1A and it is labeled simply MOV. Many diodes can also be found on the DS3800NPSE1A1A. Twenty-two (22) of these diodes are smaller in size than the others. These small diodes are grey in color. Eighteen (18) of the diodes are arranged in vertical lines on the left half of the DS3800NPSE1A1A. The remaining four diodes can be found grouped together near the bottom of the DS3800NPSE1A1A.
