About the DS3800NPSE1B1B
The DS3800NPSE1B1B is a PCB that was made for the MKIV series of turbine controls. This device was produced by General Electric. The Mark IV series has been used for decades to control and protect turbines, both gas and steam.
A total of thirty-six (36) black capacitors are featured on the DS3800NPSE1B1B. Nine (9) of the black capacitors are aligned horizontally on the DS3800NPSE1B1B. Twenty-seven (27) black capacitors are aligned in vertical rows just below these. Three (3) blue potentiometers can be found at the top of the DS3800NPSE1B1B. Potentiometers are also known as variable resistors and contain dials which allow the resistance of the device to be changed as necessary. Six (6) fuses are situated on the left side of the DS3800NPSE1B1B. These fuses are clear in the middle and bound at the ends with silver metal. One (1) metal oxide varistor (MOV) can be seen near the bottom of the DS3800NPSE1B1B. This varistor is round and red in color. It is labeled MOV1. One (1) yellow light emitting diode (LED) is located on the DS3800NPSE1B1B close to the top right corner. A series of small black and grey diodes are grouped together on the left half of the DS3800NPSE1B1B. There are twenty-two (22) of these diodes in total. Six (6) larger diodes which are grey are lined up vertically on the DS3800NPSE1B1B. A series of jumper pins can be found on the DS3800NPSE1B1B. A jumper can be used to connect two jumper pins together if needed to change the board’s functions.
