About the DS3800NPSJ1A1A
The DS3800NPSJ1A1A is a power supply circuit board made by General Electric (GE). This printed circuit board was created as just one part of the extensive Speedtronic Mark IV (MKIV) system. Mark IV is one of the systems in the Mark series. The Mark series systems were designed to provide excellent turbine management and protection against hazardous conditions.
The DS3800NPSJ1A1A contains many different types of components. Twenty-one (21) resistor networks are featured on one edge of the DS3800NPSJ1A1A. These resistor networks are yellow in color. They are aligned in a single horizontal row. Each resistor network contains two or more resistors. The total resistance of each network is equal to the combined resistance of the resistors contained inside. Two (2) yellow capacitors are also featured on the DS3800NPSJ1A1A. A variety of silver capacitors in different sizes can also be seen on the circuit board. Eight (8) small transistors are located throughout the DS3800NPSJ1A1A. These transistors are labeled with the letter Q, from Q1-Q8. The DS3800NPSJ1A1A features one (1) light-emitting diode or LED. This LED is orange in color and emits a glow when the device is functioning. The DS3800NPSJ1A1A features one (1) potentiometer. A potentiometer may also be known as a variable resistor. These components feature a dial on the top which enables the operator to adjust the resistance of each device. This potentiometer is blue in color. Also featured on the DS3800NPSJ1A1A is are jumper pins and one (1) blue jumper. The jumper can be used to connected one or more jumper pins to alter the functions of the board.
