About the DS3800NPSP1B1B
The DS3800NPSP1B1B is a turbine control circuit board produced by General Electric as part of the Speedtronic Mark IV turbine control series. The Mark IV Series is a gas turbine control system, which monitors turbine control and functions while also protecting against operating conditions considered to be unsafe.
This board contains spaces for two large capacitors, labeled C1 and C2. There are many black and silver diodes labeled CR1 through CR24. The board features several multicolored striped resistors and five large black resistors labeled R2 through R6.
The Speedtronic Mark IV system was designed for the maximization of the system’s availability and to prolong the periods between forced outages in a turbine. The Mark IV control was designed in order to prevent plant shut downs more often than once every decade. The system was set up to allow the operator to troubleshoot and repair a failing section of the system while the gas turbine continues to operate as it is being powered by the other functioning sections.
The Speedtronic Control System was designed for perform many functions, including the control of fuel, air and emissions, fuel and auxiliary sequencing for startup, shutdown and cool down, monitoring turbine control or other functions, and protecting against unsafe conditions.
The Speedtronic Mark IV Control System was based on the previous Mark I and Mark II systems. Electronically implementing turbine control, protection and sequencing originated in 1968 with the development of the Mark I system. The Mark IV is a direct result of the development and improvement of the Mark series over the last fifty years.
The DS3800NPSP1B1B circuit board is shipped in a static bag, discharging any energy before the item is handled by the user. Any technical support for the DS3800NPSP1B1B would be provided by General Electric.
