Product Description

The DS3800NPTA1E1B is a PCB from GE created as a component for the Mark IV steam/gas management system.  The MKIV is built on a framework of several microcomputers. The microcomputers continuously monitor the turbine system for issues like fire, vibration, loss of flame, and over-temperature, and make adjustments as necessary to protect the system and keep it running optimally.  The MKIV can also automate some processes, like startup and shutdown.

The DS3800NPTA1E1B has two PCB mating connectors.  One is a right-angled female mating connector, marked 218A4553-1 AMP 533002-1.  The other is right-angled 10-pin male connector.

The DS3800NPTA1E1B has seventeen integrated circuits.  The board has twenty-four trim potentiometers and one resistor network array.  Potentiometers can be used for the adjustment, tuning, and calibration of circuits. The board has three jumper switches. Jumpers allow some customization of the board, by finishing off circuits as needed.

The DS3800NPTA1E1B is built with both CCR (carbon composite resistors) and ceramic-covered metal film resistors.  The board has capacitors made of several materials, including two large capacitors made of polyester vinyl. It is important to note these two capacitors are directly wired to the board rather than being through-hole components.  

The DS3800NPTA1E1B is alignment marked, factory, drilled, marked with its identification code, marked 6BA02, and have extractor clips installed in two corners.  These clips can be used by technicians as handles as needed, and also provide a lever point to push the frame from the frame or chassis.
