The DS3800NRTB1A1A is a PCB made by GE for the Mark IV.  The MKIV is one of GE’s Speedtronic gas and steam turbine management systems.  It replaced the MKI and MKII, with increased reliability, a more flexible user interface, and a significantly lowered turbine outage rate.  The MKIV uses microprocessors to monitor the turbine for issues like vibration, fire, and high pressure.

The DS3800NRTB1A1A communicates with other PCBs using its two mating connectors.  These are located on opposite sides of the board. The first of these is a right-angled female connector which is marked 218A4551-1 AMP 102041-1.  The other mating connector is a right-angled male connector with 13-pins.

The DS3800NRTB1A1A has been drilled at the factory.  Two of these drill holes have extractor clips installed into them.  Technicians often use extractor clips as handles so they can avoid touching delicate circuitry or components on the board.  The clips are designed to add a lever point to the PCB, which allows technicians to push the board from its position in the frame or chassis.  This is helpful when working space is limited.

The DS3800NRTB1A1A is built using carbon composite (CCR) and metal film resistors.  The board uses primarily polyester vinyl or aluminum electrolytic capacitors. Technical support for the DS3800NRTB1A1A was provided by GE.
