About the DS3800NRTC1A1A
The DS3800NRTC1A1A is a PCB designed by General Electric (GE) for the Mark IV series. This series was created for steam or gas turbine management. It has triple-redundant backups on all critical controls and parameters, to increase efficiency by limiting downtime caused by electronics failure.
The DS3800NRTC1A1A is designed to function as an RTD conditioning board. It has twenty-six integrated circuits, including dual CMOS analog switches that have a turn-on time of 240ns and an analog current range of 80mA, CMOS analog multiplexers with latches and overvoltage protection that are CMOS and TTL/DTL compatible, that have break-before-make switching, and operational amplifiers that operate with a supply voltage of +/-2V to +/-18V.
The DS3800NRTC1A1A can communicate with other boards via two mating connectors. These sit on opposite sides of the board. One, a 218A4553-1AMP 533002-1 connector populates the entire left edge. The other, a 218A4637-P3 connector, is located near the lower right corner.
The DS3800NRTC1A1A is built with fourteen potentiometers, one jumper switch, seven test points, and eight transistors. All components are marked.
The DS3800NRTC1A1A has had extractor clips added to each right corner. These clips allow for the easy insertion and removal of the board, even from tight locations, as the clips can be used as a lever point or as a handle depending on the situation. This allows technicians to install/extract the board without damage to components or circuitry.
All technical support for the DS3800NRTC1A1A, including all published reference material like datasheets and manuals, was provided by GE.
